Leadership for Astoria

Why I’m Running for Mayor

I’m running for mayor of Astoria because I believe deeply in this town and in what it can become when leadership is grounded in service, listening, and follow-through. Astoria is not just a destination or a slogan. It’s a living community of artists, tradespeople, veterans, families, elders, and young people who want to build a future without being priced out of the place they love. We have extraordinary potential here, and I want to help make sure our decisions reflect the lived realities of the people who call this city home.

My desire to serve this community comes from a lifetime shaped by service, including my time in the military. That experience taught me the value of teamwork, accountability, and showing up when it matters most. As mayor, I would bring that same commitment to strengthening housing stability, supporting local businesses, investing in infrastructure that serves residents first, and expanding mental health and veteran services in meaningful, practical ways.

Astoria’s history is one of resilience, creativity, and cooperation. I believe our best days are ahead of us if we lead with honesty, respect, and a shared sense of responsibility to one another. My goal is simple: to help Astoria live up to its full potential while ensuring the future of this city works for the people who already call it home.
